FASTag by Thrissur District Coop Bank (Kerela Bank)

The Thrissur District Cooperative Bank Limited, No.60 was registered as the Cochin Central Cooperative Bank Ltd on 29-06-1918 and started functioning on 19-11-1918 as the apex bank of the Erstwhile Cochin State.Shri. Manakulam Kunjunni Raja was the first President and Shri V.K.Varkey, as the first Secretary. In 1954, when Cochin and Travancore were amalgamated, Then Travancore Central Cooperative Bank granted the status of APEX BANK and the Cochin Central Cooperative Bank was affiliated with District Cooperative Bank.Subsequently, a branch was opened at Eranakulam on 1st December 1954. Later, in 1961 the area of operation of the bank was restricted to Thrissur revenue district and the bank was renamed as THRISSUR DISTRICT COOPERATIVE BANK LIMITED.

FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. It is affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle and enables you to drive through toll plazas. FASTag offers near non-stop movement of vehicles through toll plazas and the convenience of cashless payment of toll fee with nation-wide interoperable Electronic Toll Collection Services.

Charges & Validity of FASTag

Issuance fee of the Tag:- ₹ 100/- across all categories, including all applicable taxes, delivery charges of ₹ 72/- including all applicable taxes (Non refundable once the tag is issued)

Other Charges

  • A minimum Security Deposit amount depending on the vehicle category (refundable at the time of cancellation of RFID Tag)
  • Applicable taxes will be levied on all type of top ups and transactions.
  • Minimum Balance is the minimum recharge amount to be done at the time of RFID tag activation
  • Security Deposit amount would be applicable as per the vehicle class and will be refunded to the customer at the time of closure of RFID Tag account.

How to Apply for Thrissur District Coop Bank FASTag

As a Customer of Bank, you buy the FASTag through the Osta application which bank has partnered with. Please visit www.ostaapp.com and complete the Ostaapp registration and FASTag registration. Once the Bank has approved your registration, you will receive the FASTag. Alternatively, Bank shall also provide option to access FASTag application from Bank mobile banking app as well as Internet Banking site. You can also visit branch to get FASTag issued.

Documents required for theFASTag

For the registration, customer need to submit a copy of the following documents along with the application for FASTag:

  • Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle
  • KYC document as per the category of the vehicle owner (viz. Individual /commercial)

What is the procedure for recharging the Thrissur District Coop Bank FASTag?

Customer can recharge FASTag linked account online through issuing member banks portal using NEFT / RTGS / Net Banking and then creating a hold for linked Tag.

MoRTH/NHAI/IHMCL has launched Helpline number 1033 for addressing NETC FASTag complaints at toll plaza level.
