FASTag is a toll payment tag that employs RFID technology to make toll payments straight from the account associated with it. It is attached to your vehicle’s windscreen and allows you to drive past toll plazas without having to stop for cash transactions. These tags, known as the ‘FASTag,’ will have dedicated lanes at Toll-Plazas known as the FASTag. It’s the best choice for a stress-free trip down national routes. FASTag is now in use in 408 toll booths on both national and state roadways. In the future, more toll plazas will be added to the FASTag programme.
Charges & Validity of FASTag
FASTag charges a one-time fee for tag issue, which does not include taxes. A refundable security deposit, which varies depending on the car type, must also be retained with the Bank. Details are there in the ‘Fees & Charges’ section.
The consumer has to create a current account through which all the transactions are handled. The account will not receive a cheque book or a debit card. There will be an internet banking option available. Cash deposits, check deposits, NEFT/RTGS/IMPS, and other credit transactions to the account will be accepted.
A minimum balance of Rs.6,000/- should be there in the current account. If the account balance goes below Rs.6000/-, the status of all tags associated with the account will be changed to low balance, and the auto-debit function for all tags will be disabled, forcing the client to pay the toll payment in cash.
Once the balance in the account is restored above the threshold requirement of Rs.6000/-, the auto-debit facility for all tags will be immediately restored. Out of the threshold balance of Rs. 6000/-, an amount of Rs. 5000/- will be lien marked. The customer will not be able to use this amount (Rs. 5000/-) for any transaction.

A FASTag has a validity of five years. You can recharge it from time to time according to your requirements. The recharge can be done online through the bank’s net-banking portal and you can pay for it using a variety of payment options ranging from UPI apps to your credit card, debit card, or net banking facility.

- Visit the NNSB Bank branch along with your vehicle and ask for Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank FASTag form.
- Fill the form and verify all the details mentioned in the form.
- After that take all the required documents which include Registration Certificate of the vehicle and also KYC documents which include Aadhar Card, Voter Card along with the photograph of the vehicle owner.
