FASTag with Airtel Payments Bank is a prepaid tag that allows for automated toll deduction and allows you to travel through the toll plaza without having to stop for a cash transaction. FASTag is an RFID-enabled tool that is used to pay tolls electronically. It is attached to the vehicle’s windscreen and allows you to pass through the toll without having to wait and pay in cash.

Charges & Validity of FASTag

A one-time fee of Rs. 100, including of GST, is charged for FASTag. The amount of the refundable security deposit is determined on the car type. Details may be found in the Fees & Charges section.

FASTag has a 5-year validity period, and you just need to recharge or top up FASTag as needed after purchase.

The requirements per Airtel’s website are as follows –

  • You need to have active Airtel Payments Bank Savings Account or Wallet to apply for FASTAG.
  • You need to submit the following details:-

  • During verification, the customer must bring both the original and a duplicate of the KYC document.

  • Customers can fund their associated Airtel Payments Bank account/wallet using online banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, or UPI from the myairtel app or internet banking.
  • Once your account has been successfully loaded, the minimum balance will be blocked for FASTag.
  • Enter the appropriate credentials to access the portal.
  • Type in the amount and hit the submit button.
