FASTag by Allahabad Bank

Allahabad bank was founded in 1865 and nationalised by the Indian government in 1969, offered banking and financial services for 155 years. It was merged with Indian Bank in 2020. It was also India’s oldest joint stock bank. FASTag by Allahabad Bank is a prepaid tag that allows for automated toll deduction and allows you to travel through the toll plaza without having to stop for a cash transaction. FASTag is an RFID-enabled tool that pays tolls electronically. It is attached to the vehicle’s windscreen and allows you to pass through the toll without having to wait and pay in cash.

Charges & Validity of FASTag

A one-time fee of Rs. 100, including of GST, is charged for FASTag by Allahabad Bank. The car type determines the amount of the refundable security deposit. Details about it are in the Fees & Charges section.

Fastag issued by all banks, including Allahabad Bank Fastag, has a 5-year validity period. You must apply for a new Fastag from Allahabad Bank after 5 years. In many circumstances, the validity term will expire before 5 years. You must renew the FASTag as soon as it’s damaged. If it hasn’t been used in the past six months, it will be disabled and will need to be renewed. Not having enough balance for a long period, may result in cancellation. Hence, in such circumstances you should renew the FASTag.
